Geos Affiliate Program Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 13/04/2026

This Affiliate Program Agreement (the “Agreement”) is between Geos: Geolocation (“Geos”, “we”, “us”) and the applicant seeking to join our affiliate program (“Affiliate”, “you”). By applying to the Geos Affiliate Program, you agree to the following terms.

1. Enrollment & Approval

  • Application: To join, you must submit an application through our affiliate portal.
  • Manual Review: All applications are subject to manual review. Geos reserves the right to reject any application for any reason, including but not limited to websites or business models that promote illegal content, violence, or discrimination.

2. Referral Tracking & Attribution

  • Tracking: We use a tracking system to attribute installs to your account. You must use your unique link to ensure proper tracking; Geos is not responsible for commissions lost due to the use of incorrect links.
  • App Store Redirection: By default, your link will redirect merchants to our official Shopify App Store page.

3. Commission Structure

  • Commission Rate: You will earn 30% of the Net Revenue generated by each merchant you refer. All calculations are based on amounts actually received by Geos in USD. Excludes discounts, credits, and promotional adjustments.
  • Eligible Revenue Types: Commission applies to all successful charges billed through Shopify, including:
    • Recurring Subscriptions: Monthly or annual plan fees.
    • One-Time Charges: One-time setup fees, feature upgrades, or individual service charges.
  • Amount per Install: There is no flat fee for the act of installation ($0.00). Earnings are generated only when the merchant successfully pays a bill.
  • Geos reserves the right to reverse or deduct commissions for refunded, disputed, or fraudulent transactions, including from future payouts.

4. Definition of “Net Revenue”

“Net Revenue” refers to the amount Geos actually receives from Shopify for your referred merchant. This is calculated as:

  • Gross Charge minus Shopify’s Platform Fee (the commission Shopify keeps, typically 15-20%), minus any taxes, refunds, or chargebacks.

5. Uninstall & Re-install Policy

  • 7-Day Grace Period: If a referred merchant uninstalls the Geos app, they remain assigned to your affiliate account for a period of seven (7) days.
  • Automatic Unassignment: If the merchant does not re-install the app within seven (7) days of an uninstall, the referral will be automatically unassigned. Any subsequent installs after this 7-day window will be treated as new traffic and will not be attributed to you unless your affiliate link is used again.

6. Payouts and Reporting

  • Handling: Payouts are handled manually via Paypal.
  • Timing: Commissions are “earned” once the merchant’s payment is successfully processed by Shopify and transferred to Geos. Payouts are issued monthly, from 15th-20th. No minimum payout.
  • Taxes: You are responsible for all taxes, duties, and fees associated with your affiliate earnings.

7. Prohibited Activities & Fraud 

To protect the integrity of the program, Geos strictly prohibits the following activities. Engaging in any of these will result in immediate removal from the program and forfeiture of all unpaid commissions:

  • Cookie Stuffing: Using scripts, hidden frames, or any technique to set an affiliate cookie on a user’s browser without them knowingly clicking your affiliate link.
  • Fake/Spam Installs: Using “bot” traffic, fake Shopify stores, or dummy accounts to generate installs or simulate activity.
  • Incentivized Installs: Offering cash, gift cards, or other financial incentives to merchants in exchange for installing the app.
  • Self-Referrals: Using your own affiliate link to install the app on stores you own, operate, or have a primary ownership stake in.
  • PPC & Trademark Bidding: Bidding on “Geos”, “Geos Geolocation”, or any variations of our trademarked name in paid search (Google Ads, Bing, etc.).
  • Deceptive Claims: Representing Geos’ features, pricing, or support in a misleading way, or creating sites that “impersonate” the official Geos brand.

8. Termination

  • At-Will Termination: Either party may terminate this agreement at any time with written notice.
  • Breach of Terms: If Geos determines, in its sole discretion, that you have engaged in any Prohibited Activities listed in Section 7, your account will be terminated immediately without payout of pending commissions.

9. Modifications

Geos reserves the right to modify these terms (including commission rates) at any time. Changes will be communicated via the Affiliate platform or the email address associated with your affiliate account. Changes will take effect after three (3) days’ notice.
